How many student intakes are there annually in UPM?

UPM’s new student intake is carried out once a year, which is the first semester of every session. Application to the first semester must be done by early January/February through the Student Admission Management Division, Department of Institution of Higher Learning Management, Ministry of Higher Education. Log on to http://www.mohe.gov.my. for more information. Advertisement announcing the application for admission to the Public Institution of Higher Learning is published by the ministry early January every year.

Is it possible for a SPM leaver from the Science stream who sat for examination before the current year be eligible to apply for the Foundation Programme in Agricultural Science?

No, only current year science-stream SPM leavers are allowed to apply.

Can a diploma holder from a Public Institution of Higher Education apply admission for a degree programme, and if accepted, how many course exemptions can be expected?

A diploma holderfrom a Public Institution of Higher Education can apply for any bachelor degree programmes by adhering to the admission conditions set by and acknowledged by the university senate. Applicants offered admissions to UPM’s bachelor degreeprogrammes can apply for course exemptions after registering as a student of the faculty and fill up the relevant forms.

How do I find out the date for Convocation Ceremony for the year?

Announcement on the Convocation Ceremony will be posted on the website in March every year. Dates for graduation according to programme and the dates for the graduation session will be posted on the UPM website 30 days before the actual Convocation Ceremony. A circular on the Convocation Ceremony will be disseminated to graduates 25 days before the said ceremonyvia post.

How can I rent the academic robe?

Make your way to the Academic Division on the First Floor atthe UPM Administration Building and see the officer at the counter on renting the Academic Robe. All Academic robe rental matters are subject to the needs and plausible justification relating to graduation.

What do I do if I am unable to attend the Convocation Ceremony?

Sent a letter informing you inability to attend to the Secretariat of UPM Convocation Ceremony for record purposes.
